BÖSKOLAN IN GOTHENBURG

The elementary school Böskolan is located in Gothenburg, Sweden, and dates back to before the turn of the last century. Over the years, the school has expanded in response to changing times and evolving school operations, with a focus on the children and their learning environment.

When a major renovation and update of the lighting was needed, the local company RC EL & Styrinstallationer was hired.

“We have replaced all older lighting with modern and energy-efficient LED solutions, installed new electrical panels and upgraded the lighting control throughout the building. Our focus was to create smart, sustainable and long-term installations that combine high operational reliability with low energy consumption,” says Robert Nilsson, CEO.

The renovation was carried out during the school term, which placed high demands on planning, communication and consideration for students and staff.

“With an established work process, close dialogue with the business and reliable deliveries from Fagerhult, we could ensure a safe and smooth implementation,” says Robert Nilsson.

All lighting in the project was supplied by Fagerhult, with a focus on 180 examples of the Wrapped pendant luminaire.

“Wrapped’s frame is made entirely of cardboard and the luminaire is very light. This which made installation smooth and easy. Wrapped also provides a pleasant lighting environment and a stable light flow with low energy consumption, which significantly reduces both operating costs and climate impact over time,” says Robert Nilsson.
