Smart Lighting Consultant
You will be responsible for all activities supporting the successful specification, design and management of smart lighting projects, using a range of control systems. You will be based in the London office 3 days a week, with travel across the UK to support the sales team on projects as needed. Your day-to-day will be varied and fast-paced. You'll work alongside our Workplace & Education, Retail, and Architecture & Design sales teams, bridging the gap between technical capability and commercial opportunity. You'll need to be self-driven, comfortable managing your own time, and genuinely curious about technology.

Key responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical authority for lighting controls throughout the sales process.
- Support the Sales Team in identifying opportunities, shaping control solutions, and building compelling value propositions.
- Attend customer meetings to explain system capabilities, answer technical questions, and influence specification decisions.
- Provide control system designs and proposals to support tenders and bids.
- Guide customers through system options, control philosophies and integration pathways.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors to grow market penetration.
- Oversee all support activities from project inception to handover.
- Responding to issues and requests in a timely manner.
- Ensure customers receive accurate, concise installation and commissioning documentation.
- Work closely with the internal team to ensure projects are handed over in a timely manner, maximising the potential for ongoing maintenance contracts.

Key skills and experience:
- Minimum five years' experience in a lighting controls sales, technical support or project management role
- Demonstrable knowledge of lighting control systems and integration technologies
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and PDF editing tools such as Bluebeam Revu
- Full UK driving licence
- A degree or equivalent professional qualification is desirable but not essential - relevant experience will be given equal consideration
