Fagerhult was asked to design the lighting for Thirty Broadwick, a 92,300 sq ft office and retail development in the heart of Soho in London. Designed by Emrys Architects, the building takes inspiration from Soho’s historic garment industry employing a rich palette of materials characteristic of the area.
Fagerhult delivered a customised solution for Thirty Broadwick that highlighted the building’s unique architectural features while providing the highest possible energy efficiency for the offices.
The designers worked together with artist Sasha Holzer to accentuate his art work featured in the reception. The geometric ‘dart’ shapes in anodised aluminium have been lit with LED Venus strips while the raised coffered ceiling of the entrance lobby has been fitted with recessed LED lighting.
For the workspaces, the designers created a custom lighting solution to suit the ceiling grid pattern. Fagerhult’s Multilume Flat Delta recessed fittings were installed to provide optimal light conditions for the office environment.
The cycling facilities were lit with weather proof and impact resistant Kaptur luminaires that were installed above the cycle spaces. To ensure that the changing rooms were also up to a great standard, circular LED downlights were fitted throughout.
