Karlstad’s Congress Culture Centre is one of Sweden’s biggest centres for conference and culture. A wide set of light comes from Fagerhult – well adapted to the building.
Resources have been made on the acoustic and quality of light in this building that was finished in January 2011. It has a big conference hall that can seat 1604 visitors. The centre also holds conference areas, bars, restaurants and offices for several companies. The 11 000 square meter big centre is illuminated by a wide set of products from Fagerhult.
Fagerhult cooperated with the electrical consultant and installer to create the right lighting for the building. The result gave, amongst others, recessed solutions for general light that gives a clean look for the area of use.
Notor lines and downlights
The centre has about 350 of recessed Notor with DALI installed in the high-roofed entrance and corridors. They create crisp and modern shapes in the bright white foyer.
About 900 luminaires of our popular downlight-series Pleiad also decorates the centre and provides general light around the building.
Several office areas
CCC Karlstad holds offices for the Swedish Consumer Agency, Karlstad municipality and TV4. The luminaire of choices for the offices were about 211 pieces of our pendant DTI type 2 Beta and also Avion that has an elegant flow of light. Multifive G2 Delta for example also shines in the corridors.
This was a great project, we cooperated with installer and electrical consultant throughout the project and made visualisations before installation. Notor and Pleiad are excellent choices for these kinds of environments, says Jan Augustsson, Technical salesman at Fagerhult.
