The heart of the building of the new community center of the Parish union of Oulu has a special lighting feature, a great showstopper in the shapes of nine circles and light lines in imaginative patterns by the luminaire Freedom.
The Parish union of Oulu earlier had their premises in eight different places around town. With their new community center, of 21 930 m2, they have gathered all the activities under the same roof.
During the building process that started in 2012 and finished in January 2014 the biggest challenge was the limited site in the heart of the city and its location between the two old distinguished buildings.
The modern and fresh premise got enhanced features at the interior. Fagerhult provided nine circles of Freedom, and additional light lines in various shapes, that creates a big showstopper at the centre of the building. Another interesting feature in the parish hall are the big screens behind the altar on which they can project different images, depending on the events nature.
Besides the Freedom features the building has downlights of Pleiad G2 installed and Pozzo II LED RGB at the entrance halls, corridors and also in the cafeteria. The LED RGB makes it possible to change colours of the light at the different areas at the building.
A black Tersos are illuminating the service point at the cafeteria and Techno Spots and Minieos LED luminaires from Fagerhult’s partner Simes illuminates the façade of the building.
To meet the need of energy efficiency, that was a very important factor in the lighting solution, exact Dialux-calculations were made and DALI was chosen as a lighting control system.
The personnel of the parish are very pleased with their new premises. One was specially delighted and enthusiastic about the possibilities to change the colours with the help of LED RGB.
