The municipality of Egedal just outside Copenhagen needed to replace the old street lighting. Fagerhult's Vialume 1 won a part of the public procurement thanks to the design and the energy efficiency.
Egedal, half-an-hour drive outside the capital of Denmark, is a municipality with approximately 42,000 inhabitants. The existing street lighting luminaires were about to be replaced and when the public procurement was completed, it was clear that Vialume 1 was a winner. The replacement started during the summer 2014 and will continue until summer 2015. This is the first large project in Denmark and the expectations are huge.
It was the first public procurement in Denmark with our new Vialume 1, so it is a great satisfaction that it has been so well received, says Jimmy Hammerlund, sales representative at Fagerhult.
