When VätterHem, a public housing company owned by the city of Jönköping, were looking for replacement luminaires in a residential area the choice fell on Fagerhult's new street lighting luminaire Vialume 1.
Gräshagen is a residential area in the southwestern part of Jönköping. The area consists of apartment blocks with courtyards between the buildings. Gräshagen is a popular area with parks and the city centre just around the corner.
When VätterHem decided to replace the old mercury street lighting in Gräshagen, they were looking for LED luminaires with light controls. They found what they were looking for in Vialume 1 with night-time dimming.
We replaced old mercury lighting with our new Vialume 1 with night-time dimming for maximum energy-savings, says Sara Jirbäck, sales representative at Fagerhult.
Vialume 1 was launched in January 2014 and we are very proud of our new street lighting luminaire. The design is modern and organic and the visual comfort and energy efficiency is in focus. Vialume 1 is the first in a luminaire family developed in collaboration between Fagerhult and ÅF Lighting.
For this project, Vialume 1 in black with night-time dimming was installed on existing posts in the area.
Aaesthetically, I think it is a boost to the previous lighting, and it will be interesting to hear how residents perceive the new light, says Afrim Alijevski at VätterHem.
