Light for outdoor meeting spaces

The park is often the centre piece of any city or town. A place where people socialise, run, ride a bike, walk the dog or simply pass through. The role of park lighting is to create a comfortable, safe ambience that entices people once the sun has set. Lighting and the luminaires themselves are also an integral part of the landscape architecture, helping to shape or define its character. Vivita and Verda are a luminaire family with a shared advanced technical solution and carefully designed proportions and finish for a classic or contemporary appearance.

Vivita: contemporary elegance

With its slim, cylindrical form Vivita is an elegant, contemporary post-top luminaire ideal for modern park environments. The integral combination of rods and rings adds a refined aesthetic which maintains its design integrity when illuminated at night and during the day. Vivita can be supplied with a large shade spanning Ø720mm for a more dramatic visual expression.

Verda: classic modularity

Verda is a luminaire range with many aspects. The heritage styled basic model can be supplemented with decor rings and a shade, either individually or in combination. This makes it easy to vary the lighting within a larger area, for example, a park, a market square or a tenant-owner association – with a cohesive aesthetic.

Complementary bollards

Vivita and Verda can be supplied with complementary bollards with both general light and directed light which illuminates the ground and shines a guiding light. Vivita bollards emphasised rods and flat surface mirrors the pole tops modern appeal. Similarly, Verda bollards rounded design is sympathetic to the classic stylings of the park luminaire.

Park Premium

Vivita contemporary design can be optimised with controls to create a completely modern park lighting solution. e-Sense Motion is a presence-controlled and wireless system that fully illuminates when occupancy is detected but dims down to still provide a reassuring light once the space has been vacated. For additional beautification, On-Ground is a robust, indirect lighting solution that rises above any shrubbery to illuminate trees or other hard-to-reach features for a more dynamic lit environment.

Visual Comfort

Vivita and Verda are based a combination of indirect and vertical light. This approach creates a pleasant room experience and illuminates the environment even at the edge of the pathway, brightening up hedges and shrubbery. A comfortable light at face level, which makes it easy to identify people you encounter and to see what lies further ahead. The light is evenly distributed across the pathway for superior visibility, safety and security.

Omnidirectional or asymmetric light

The park luminaires are available with an omnidirectional, symmetric light distribution that creates a comfortable lighting environment with soft transitions. There is also a variant with asymmetrical light distribution to offer the right light in the right place. It is a perfect solution when the light needs to be restricted in either direction, for example, if there are property windows directly adjacent to the luminaire.

Constant light output and energy efficiency

Both park luminaires are equipped with Constant Light Output (CLO) as standard. CLO technology regulates the light output across the service life of the luminaire, negating the need to initially over light the space to accommodate future depreciation. With efficiency of up to 117 lm/w and a choice of different outputs and colour temperature, if you want either a completely new installation, or energy efficient replacement, Vivita and Verda are the optimal choice.
