Fagerhult and energy
During the last 15-20 years lighting technology has undergone dramatic development and Fagerhult has been a major participant. We developed lighting systems for HF-operation as early as the end of the Eighties. In the middle of the Nineties we took the next step with the development of luminaires for the T5 fluorescent lamp. The T5 venture also gave us the possibility to develop more efficient reflectors and louvres.
We can contribute towards reducing energy consumption through developing luminaires for use with energy saving light sources and through innovations such as our patent pending reflector technology r5.
Why is this important to Fagerhult?
The inheritance that we leave behind us is the responsibility of everyone, including companies. 90 per cent of a lighting installation’s environmental impact occurs during its operation through the energy it consumes. Production and distribution of energy loads the environment, to develop efficient luminaires is our contribution to make it better. A sensible use of energy today gives environmental benefits tomorrow. As market leader we take our responsibility seriously.
We operate active and long-term environment work, since 1999 Fagerhult with its three manufacturing units holds environmental certificates for conformity to ISO 14001 and EMAS.
